Break in the Chain of Light

“This program of six new films and videos present visions from deep within a bamboo grove, NASA data recordings of the sun transposed into spectacular images and sound, seven years of “celestial field recordings” of the night sky, and 16mm film stock inscribed by the sea itself. Each of these works uniquely depict inscriptions of natural forces onto material consciousness. With films and videos from the US, Japan, Korea, Canada, and England by David Gatten, Jeanne Liotta, Takashi Makino, Minyong Jang, Christina Battle and Semiconductor.”
